Dating AFP Chief Gapay, inalok ni Pangulong Duterte ng pwesto sa gobyerno

Inalok ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ng pwesto sa gobyerno ang bagong retirong si dating Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief Lt. Gen. Gilbert Gapay.

Sa kaniyang talumpati sa AFP change of command ceremony, araw ng Huwebes (February 4, 2021), pinapili ng Pangulo si Gapay ng pwesto sa Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) o Department of National Defense (DND).

Binati naman ng Punong Ehekutibo si Gapay para sa matagumpay na pagsisilbi bilang pinuno ng AFP.

Aniya, ang ipinamalas na kasipagan at kahusayan ni Gapay ang nagtakda ng mataas na kalidad ng serbisyo sa hanay ng mga sundalo.

Pumalit kay Gapay bilang AFP Chief-of-Staff si Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana.
