CREATE Bill, niratipikahan na sa Senado

Nakalusot na sa Senado ang bicameral conference committee report ng Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises (CREATE) bill.

Ayon kay Sen. Pia Cayetano, namumuno sa Committee on Ways and Means, naplantsa na ang mga magkakaibang probisyon sa Senate Bill No. 1357 at House Bill No. 4157.

Sinabi ni Cayetano na kabilang lang sa mga pangunahing probisyon na napagkasunduan ay ang hindi paniningil ng buwis sa importasyon ng COVID-19 vaccines, ang opsyon ng mga negosyante na mamili sa pagitan ng Special Corporate Income Tax of 5% o Enhanced Deductions kasunod ng Income Tax Holiday.

Bukod dito aniya ang mas mataas na insentibo sa mga negosyo sa labas ng metropolitan areas, dagdag insentibo sa mga negosyo na lilipat sa labas ng Metro Manila at dagdag insentibo sa mga magnenegosyo sa mga lugar na nasalanta ng kalamidad o digmaan.

“We are hopeful that the revenues the government stands to lose will provide the stimulus that our economy needs to rebound from the contraction it sustained last year. Reducing corporate income tax will also enable the Philippines to keep pace with our ASEAN neighbors in attracting foreign direct investments,” sabi pa ng senadora.
