Babala ni Belmonte sa mga fixer sa QC: “Siguradong babagsak kayo sa kulungan”
Nagbabala si Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte sa mga fixer na gumagawa ng ilegal na transaksyon sa lungsod.
“Sa mga fixer at iba pang gumagawa ng ilegal sa ating lungsod, mabuti pang magbalot-balot na kayo dahil may kalalagyan kayo sa aming lungsod,” pahayag ng alkalde.
“Sa tulong ng Quezon City Police District, liliit lang ang inyong mundo at siguradong babagsak kayo sa kulungan,” dagdag pa nito.
Inilabas ni Belmonte ang reaksyon matapos maaresto ng Quezon City Police District (QCPD) ang siyam na suspek sa robbery extortion, grave threats at usurpation of authority.
Ayon kay QCPD Director Brig. Gen. Danilo Macerin, nahuli ang mga suspek sa ikinasang entrapment operation na isinagawa ng Crime Investigation Section (CIS) kasunod ng reklamo ng contractor na si Augusto Caesar Foronda.
Binati naman ni Belmonte ang mabilis na aksyon ng QCPD sa mga suspek.
“This should serve as a warning that Quezon City is serious in addressing criminality within our jurisdiction,” ani Belmonte.
Umapela rin ang alkalde sa mga residente, partikular sa mga negosyante, na huwag makipag-transaksyon sa mga fixer pagdating sa bidding ng city projects o kapag mag-aapply ng permits at iba pang lisensya.
