Napauwing overseas Filipinos sa bansa, nasa 356,126 na – DFA
Tuluy-tuloy pa rin ang repatriation efforts ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa gitna ng pandemya dahil sa COVID-19.
Sa huling tala hanggang January 30, 2021, umabot sa 356,126 overseas Filipinos ang napauwi sa repatriation efforts ng kagawaran.
Sa nagdaang linggo, 4,549 overseas Filipinos ang nakabalik ng Pilipinas.
Sa nasabing bilang, 692 ang seafarers habang 3,857 ang land-based.
Kabilang dito ang undocumented OFs mula sa Vietnam, Australia, Japan, Jordan, China, at maging ang tatlong distressed OFs sa Indonesia at isang overseas Filipino na may medical condition.
“The DFA works closely w/ govts, PH agencies, airlines, companies to make possible the repatriation of our OFs from across the globe,” pahayag ng kagawaran.
