Puganteng French arestado; 2 iba pa timbog din dahil sa tangkang panunuhol
Naaresto ng Bureau of Immigration Fugitive Search Unit ang isang puganteng French sa bahagi ng Clark International Speedway sa Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
Nakilala ang dayuhan na si Julien Barbier, 39-anyos na may kinakaharap na kaso na may kinalaman sa ilegal na droga.
Katuwang ng BI sa operasyon ang Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Regional Field Unit 3, Angeles District Field Unit (CIDG RFU3, CFU), Intelligence Service, Armed Forces of the Philippines – Military Intelligence Group 41 (ISAFP MIG41) and the National Capital Region Police Office – Regional Special Operations Group.
Ayon kay BI FSU Chief Bobby Raquepo, naaresto si Barbier kasunod ng official communication na natanggap mula sa French authorities na nagsasabing wanted sa France ang dayuhan.
Nakatanggap din aniya ng impormasyon ang ahensya ukol sa links ng illegal bank fraud syndicate ni Barbier sa Pampanga at Cebu.
“Upon receipt of information about his crimes, the Commissioner immediately issued a Mission Order to effect his arrest,” ani Raquepo at dagdag pa nito, “His presence in the country is a risk to public safety and security.”
Sa ngayon, si Barbier ay pansamantalang nasa kustodiya ng CIDG CFU Angeles habang hinihintay ang resulta ng kaniyang RT PCR testing.
Nag-alok pa aniya ng P1.5 milyon ang dayuhan at dalawang Filipinong kasabwat kapalit ng kalayaan.
“We immediately informed the Commissioner about this, and he instructed us to coordinate with the CIDG to be able to arrest the two others for this crime,” aniya pa.
