P17-M halaga ng shabu, nasabat sa Maynila; Isang menod de edad, na-rescue
Arestado ang dalawang drug suspects habang na-rescue ang isang menor de edad sa ikinasang anti-drug operation ng Philippine National Police (PNP) sa Maynila.
Ayon kay PNP Chief General Debold Sinas, ginagamit ng mga drug suspect ang mga menor de edad bilang ‘courier’ ng kanilang drug trafficking activities.
“We have to stop these criminals and protect our children from ciminal exploitation. If these drug peddlers don’t stop pestering our children, the PNP will be their most difficult enemy to deal with,” pahayag ng PNP chief.
Nakilala ang mga naarestong drug suspects na sina Rudjiefei Bedo, 21-anyos, at Saida Ayunan, 32-anyos.
Nakuha sa dalawa ang 2.5 kilo ng hinihinalang shabu na nagkakahalaga ng mahigit P17 milyon nang mahuli ng mga operatiba ng Manila Police District at Pandacan Station Drug Enforcement Unit, Huwebes ng gabi.
Kasama ng mga drug suspects ang isang menor de edad na pinaniniwalaang ‘runner’ sa ilegal na aktibidad.
Sa ngayon, kapwa nakakulong ang dalawang drug suspect sa MPD at mahaharap sa non-bailable charges dahil sa drug trafficking.
Nai-turnover naman ang menor de edad sa social welfare.
