BOC, nag-donate ng mga gadget sa DepEd para sa online learning program

Bilang bahagi ng hakbang sa pag-adapt sa “new normal,” nag-donate ng gadgets ang Bureau of Customs (BOC) sa Department of Education (DepEd) para sa online learning program.

Isinagawa ang turn-over ceremony sa Bureau of Customs Situation Room sa Maynila kasama sina Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez, Education Secretary Leonor Briones at Customs Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero, araw ng Biyernes (January 29).

Nasa kabuuang 5,040 devices ang nai-donate sa DepEd kasama ang Oppo A9 at A31 mobile phones at maging ang Huawei Mate mobile devices.

Ang naturang gadgets ay bahagi ng mga nakumpiskang gamit ng BOC Port of Clark.

Sa probisyon ng Republic Act 10863 o Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA) at pag-apruba ni Dominguez, makatutulong ang donasyon para sa mga apektadong estudyante ng COVID-19 pandemic.

Maliban dito, makatutulong din ang donasyon upang mas mapagbuti ang implementasyon ng online learning program ng DepEd.

Nangako naman ang BOC na patuloy silang kikilos upang makapagserbisyo at makapagbigay ng suporta sa publiko at gobyerno.
