Colchicine, pinag-aaralang isama sa clinical trials vs COVID-19
Pinag-aaralan na ng Department of Health na isama sa clinical trials kontra COVID-19 ang Colchicine na kilalang gamot sa sakit na gout.
Ayon kay Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, may mga pag-aaral na nagpapakita na may magandang epekto kontra COVID-19 ang Colchicine.
“In the different application across the various clinical manifestation of the Covid infection, sa kasalukuyan po, pinag-aaralan ito at mayroon tayong mga eksperto, ito po ang ating technical advisory group of experts na gumagabay din sa Inter Agency Task Force patungkol sa mga ating ginagawa at the policy level, isa po ito na isasama, posibleng magkaroon tayo ng trial ng gamot na ito pero kukuha pa tayo ng protocol na sinusunod ng bansang Canada to be able to validate from these unexpected serendipitous effects of Colchicine of label application outside of gouty arthritis such as Covid 19,” pahayag ni Duque.
Pero babala ni Duque, huwag magsagawa ng self medication sa Colchicine.
Mas maganda rin aniyang maghintay ng sapat na datos mula sa mga bansa na naglunsad ng paggamit ng Colchicine at mas makabubuting making sa mga doktor o sa mga eksperto.
