Duque, umaasang mababago pa ang isip ni Pangulong Duterte na magpabakuna sa harap ng publiko
Umaasa pa rin si Health Secretary Francisco Duque III na mababago pa ang isip ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na gawin sa harap ng publiko ang pagpapabakuna kontra COVID-19.
Sa dry run ng vaccination program sa Taguig, sinabi ni Duque na ilang lider sa ibang bansa ang nagpabakuna sa harap ng publiko.
Pero ayon kay Duque, iginagalang niya ang pasya ng Pangulo.
“Iyong biniwang salita ni Pangulong Duterte, let’s respect that, ‘yung desisyon na halintulad ng monarchy ng q ng England, the queen of England did not want to be vaccinated in full view of the public. So let’s respect that, that’s the choice of the President but hopefully he might still change his mind, because we know that there are many some world leaders who have openly have themselves vaccinated in public,” pahayag ni Duque.
Kasabay nito, sinabi ni Duque na pareho rin lang ang epekto kung ituturok ang bakuna sa puwet o sa balikat.
Unang sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque na kaya hindi na sa harap ng publiko magpapabakuna ang Pangulo dahil sa puwet magpapaturok ang punong ehekutibo.
“Ang importanteng katanungan, Iyon bang epekto ay pareho kung maituturok mo sa braso o buttocks, pareho lang ang epekto niyan,” pahayag ni Duque.
