Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, itinalaga bilang bagong AFP Chief of Staff
Itinalaga ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si Lt. General Cirilito Sobejana bilang bagong Chief of Staff ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, kumpiyansa ang Palasyo na magagampanan ni Sobejana ang bagong tungkulin.
“We are confident that General Sobejana will continue to modernize our military and undertake reform initiatives to make the Armed Forces truly professional in its mandate as the protector of the people and the State,” pahayag ni Roque.
Hangad ng Palasyo ang maayos na pammumuno ni Sobejana.
“We wish General Sobejana all the best in his new tour of duty as we pray for his success,” pahayag ni Roque.
Papalitan ni Sobejana si General Gilbert Gapay na magreretiro na.
Tatagal lamang ang pamumuno ni Sobejana sa July 2021 pagsapit ng kanyang mandatory retirement age na 56-anyos.
