Overpricing sa anti-COVID 19 vaccines’ malabo tiniyak sa tatlong senador
Sinunod ni vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr., ang utos ni Pangulong Duterte na ibahagi kay Senate President Vicente Sotto III ang detalye ng pakikipag-usap sa ilang pharmaceutical companies na nagbebenta ng anti-COVID 19 vaccines.
Kagabi, kasama sina Sens. Panfilo Lacson at Ronald dela Rosa, gayundin si Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, nakipag-pulong si Sotto kay Galvez.
Matapos ang pulong, sinabi ni Sotto na tiniyak sa kanila ni Galvez na hinding-hindi mangyayari ang pinangangambahan na ‘overpricing’ sa mga bibilhing bakuna.
“General/Secretary Galvez assures us through the agreements that there will be no room for overpricing by any person, entity or group as all payments will go directly to the pharma companies from the lending institution who will also set in place proper safeguards,” ang sabi ni Sotto sa Senate media.
Dagdag pa ng senador, naiintindihan niya ang pagiging atubili ni Galvez na isapubliko ang nilalaman ng mga isinusulong na kasunduan dahil na rin sa non-disclosure agreements na nais ng mga kompaniya ng bakuna.
“We were able to see all the necessary documents and proposed agreements, Indeed, there are non-disclosure agreements mandated by the pharma companies internationally,” dagdag pa nito.
Sinabi pa ni Sotto na ibabahagi niya sa mga kapwa senador ang ilan sa mga impormasyon na isiniwalat sa kanila ni Galvez.
