Relasyon ng Pilipinas at US mainit pa rin – Malakanyang
Kumpiyansa ang Malakanyang na magpapatuloy ang mainit at magandang relasyon ng Pilipinas at Amerika sa pag-upo ni bagong US President Joe Biden.
“We expect the President, as our country’s principal diplomat, to maintain and pursue such foreign policy amid changing circumstances throughout the world, including Mr. Biden’s assumption of the seat of the President of the United States,” sabi pa ni Panelo.
Tiwala din si Panelo na hindi magkakaroon ng lama tang relasyon ng dalawang bansa sa usapin ng nakabinbing Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) at ang patuloy na ikinakasang anti-drug campaign ng gobyerno.
“One thing, however, is certain: the Philippines is no longer a vassal state to any foreign entity and as such, it will not allow any co-equal power to disrespect its independence,” sabi pa nito.
Hiniling din ni Panelo ang tagumpay ni Biden sa pamumuno niya sa US.
