Roque, handang mamagitan sa posibleng pag-uusap nina Concepcion at Lorenzana
Nakahanda si Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque na mamagitan sa posibleng pag-uusap nina University of the Philippines President Danilo Concepcion at Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana.
Pahayag ito ni Roque matapos tuldukan ni Lorenzana ang 1989 UP-DND accord na naglilimita sa mga pulis at sundalo sa unibersidad.
Ayon kay Roque, ang pagkakaroon ng dayalogo sa dalawang panig ang pinakamabisang paraan para maayos ang usapin.
Marapat lamang aniya na plantsahin ang naturang gusot lalot tatlong dekada na ang kasunduan.
Una rito, sinabi ni Concepcion na dapat na irekonsidera ni Lorenzana ang desisyon na ibasura na ang UP-DND accord.
“I said I will offer my good office ‘no. A good office is the… an offer to be involved in the discussion hoping that the matter can be resolved by the parties ‘no. I offer my good office so that UP President and the Secretary of National Defense can discuss this matter,” pahayag ni Roque.
