DOH, muling nagpaalala na sundin ang public health standards
Inihayag ng Department of Health (DOH) na hindi nabago ang ‘mode of transmission’ kasunod ng na-detect na bagong COVID-19 variant sa bansa.
“Following the detection of the more transmissible UL variant here in the country, the Department of Health reiterates that mode of transmission has not changed,” pahayag ng kagawaran.
Dahil dito, sinabi ng DOH na nananatiling epektibo ang minimum public health standards bilang panlaban na kumalat ang nakakahawang sakit.
Hinikayat naman ang mga local government unit na mas maging alisto at tiyaking istriktong nasusunod ang quarantine at isolation protocols.
Na-detect ang bagong variant ng COVID-19 sa isang Filipino na umuwi ng Pilipinas mula United Arab Emirates noong January 7.
Matatandaang unang na-detect ang bagong variant ng nakakahawang sakit sa United Kingdom.
