Dating DOJ Sec. Aguirre, itinalaga bilang bagong NAPOLCOM Commissioner
Balik-serbisyo sa gobyerno si dating Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II.
Ito ay matapos kumpirmahin ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang na itinalaga ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si Aguirre bilang bagong commissioner ng Nationa Police Commission o NAPOLCOM.
Nagsilbi si Aguirre bilang kalihim ng DOJ sa mga unang taon ng administrasyong Duterte hanggang taong 2018.
“This bodes well in his new position to make the police service competent, effective, credible and responsive to our people’s needs,” pahayag ni Roque.
Matatandaang nadawit si Aguirre sa isyu ng “pastillas scheme” o ang panunuhol ng mga Chinese sa mga tiwalang opisyal para makapasok sa Pilipinas at makapagtrabaho sa POGO.
