QC LGU, tatanggap ng 1.1-M dose ng bakuna vs COVID-19

Tatanggap ang Quezon City government ng inisyal na 1.1 million doses ng AstraZeneca vaccine laban sa Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).

Ito ay matapos pirmahan ang tripartite agreement kasama ang Inter-agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF) at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals Philippines.

Ayon kay Mayor Joy Belmonte, bahagi ito ng kanilang Task Force Vax to Normal.

“Now that we have secured 1.1 million doses, we will continue talking to other pharmaceutical companies to secure more vaccines for QCitizens to complement the national government’s goal. When more QCitizens are vaccinated, we can soon achieve herd immunity,” pahayag ni Belmonte.

Darating ang bakuna sa ikatlong quarter ng 2021.

Makatutulong aniya ang dagdag na alokasyon ng AstraZeneca vaccines para sa vaccination program ng lokal na pamahalaan.

Ayon naman kay Task Force Vax to Normal Co-chair Joseph Juico, magiging “hands-on” ang lokal na pamahalaan sa inoculation program kabilang ang identification ng beneficiaries, administration ng mga bakuna, at pag-monitor ng mga indibidwal na mabibigyan nito.

“While we will be handling all systems and processes of this program, the national government will supervise us in all areas. We will ensure that our efforts are in line with the national government’s roadmap and vaccine guidelines,” ani Juico.
