Kinumpirma na ng United States Congress ang pagkapanalo ni Democrat Joe Biden sa presidential election.
Ito ay ilang oras matapos sumiklab ang gulo sa U.S. Capitol dahil sa ikinasang protesta ng daan-daang tagasuporta ni President Donald Trump.
Sinertipikan ang pinal na Electoral College vote kung saan nakakuha si Biden ng 306 votes habang si Trump naman ay may 232 votes.
Matapos ito, agad naglabas ang White House ng pahayag mula kay Trump kung saan nangako ito ng “orderly transition” sa January 20.
“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th,” ani Trump.
Gaganapin ang inauguration ni Biden, kasama si Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, sa nasabing petsa.
