DOH, nilinaw na wala pang na-detect na bagong COVID-19 variant sa Pilipinas
Nilinaw ng Department of Health (DOH) na wala pang nade-detect na bagong Coronavirus Disease o COVID-19 variant sa Pilipinas.
Ito ay hanggang sa araw ng Sabado, January 2.
“All RT-PCR positive specimens from countries with confirmed U.K. variant are to undergo genome sequencing beginning Monday, January 4, 2021,” pahayag ng kagawaran.
Tiniyak din ng DOH na nakikipag-ugnayan sila sa mga kinauukulang ahensya upang masiguro ang mas mahigpit na kontrol sa bawat port of entry sa bansa.
Hinikayat din ang publiko na patuloy ang pagsunod sa minimum public health standards.
“We urge everyone to keep practicing the minimum public health standards – the only universally effective protocol against any mutation, variant, or strain,” dagdag pa nito.
