Apela ni dating Sen. JV Ejercito sa PhilHealth: suspendihin muna ang pagpapatupad ng mas mataas na kontribusyon
Umapela si dating Senador JV Ejercito sa PhilHealth na ipagpaliban muna ang pagpapatupad ng mas mataas na buwanang kontribusyon ng kanilang mga miyembro.
Ayon kay Ejercito na siyang pangunahing author ng Universal Healthcare Law, hindi pa tapos ang problema ng bansa sa pandemya lalo pa at may mga ipinatupad na bagong lockdown orders ang iba’t ibang mga bansa dahil sa bagong strain ng COVID-19.
“The new lockdown orders in other countries due to new strains of virus is a proof that the pandemic is not yet over. As such, the economic struggle of the people continues,” ayon sa dating senador.
Sinabi ni Ejercito na magiging dagdag pahirap sa publiko ang dagdag na bayarin sa kontribusyon.
Mas mainam aniyang hayaan na munang maka-recover ang lahat sa epekto ng pandemya.
“The last thing our people would need is another burden. Let the people and businesses recover from pandemic and resolve the allegation of corruptions surrounding your agency. Together, we shall overcome,” ayon pa kay Ejercito.
Sinabi ng dating senador na nang maipasa ang Universal Healthcare Law, wala namang nakakaalam na may pandemyang tatama sa buong mundo.
