Kasunod ng pagkakakumpiska sa mga pekeng pera sa Maynila, BSP may abiso sa publiko

Naglabas ng alituntunin ang Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas kung paanong malalaman na peke o tunay ang pera.

Kasunod ito ng pagsalakay sa isang pagawan ng pera sa Sampaloc, Maynila kahapon.

Sa inilabas na abiso ng BSP, tatlong bagay ang kailangang gawin para matukoy kung peke ang perang hawak.

Una ay salatin, tingnan at itagilid.

Ayon sa BSP, ang tunay na pera ay maaring masalat ang Security Paper, Embossed Prints, at Tactile Marks.

Makikita din din ng malinaw ang Watermark, Security Fiber, Asymmetric Serial Number at See-through Mark.

At kapag itinagilid, makikita ang Security Thread, Concealed Value,
Optically Variable Ink (1000-Piso and 500-Piso), Optical Variable Device Patch, at Enhanced Value Panel (1000-Piso and 500-Piso).

Paalala ng BSP sa publiko, ugaliing i-check ng mabuti ang banknotes para maiwasan makakuha o makatanggap ng pekeng salapi.
