DOH, RITM nilinaw na walang inilabas na expired RT-PCR test kits sa Baguio

Nagbigay ng paglilinaw ang Department of Health (DOH) at Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) na walang nailabas na expired na RT-PCR test kits sa mga laboratoryo.

Lumabas kasi ang mga ulat na naipamahagi umano ang mga expired RT-PCR test kit sa Baguio City.

Sinabi ng DOH at RITM na walang expired testing kits na naipakalat base sa kanilang delivery records at mga dokumento.

Iginiit nito na ‘fast-moving stock’ ang test kits na kailangang magamit agad.

“Additionally, machine compatibility, technical issues, low testing referral count, at availability of supplies also contribute to low consumption of the COVID-19 test kits which in turn increase likelihood of expiry before use,” pahayag pa nito.

Kasunod ng kahalagahan ng mabilis na stock management para sa testing laboratories, binuo ang COVID-19 Laboratory Network Project Management Unit (PMU) at inilunsad din ang bagong Information Management System.

Gumagawa na ang PMU ng mas maayos na logistics process habang sinisiguradong walang naaantalang suplay ng COVID-19 test kits.
