Higit 13,000 overseas Filipinos, na-repatriate sa nagdaang linggo

Nasa 13,320 overseas Filipinos (OFs) ang na-repatriate ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa nagdaang linggo.

Dahil dito, umabot na sa kabuuang 314,158 ang repatriated OFs simula nang ikasa ang COVID-related repatriation efforts ng kagawaran noong Pebrero.

Nasa 64 special commercial repatriation flights ang inayos ng kagawaraan noong nakaraang linggo.

Kabilang dito ang mga sumusunod:
74 OFWs mula sa island Diego Garcia;
33 OFWs at isang menor de edad sa Cambodia;
21 trafficking-in-persons victim mula UAE;
9 undocumented OFWs sa Iraq;
4 OFWs at 2 menor de edad mula Guangzhou, China;
2 medical repatriates sa Oman;
2 undocumented OFWs sa Vietnam;
1 household service worker mula sa Iran
1 stranded seafarer sa Bahamas

“With only a couple of weeks to go before the end of 2020, the DFA continues to forge ahead with its repatriations efforts and stands ready to assist Filipino nationals affected by the pandemic,” pahayag ng DFA.
