PCG, rumesponde sa nasunog sa bangka sa Surigao del Norte
Rumesponde ang Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) sa isang maritime incident kung saan nasunog ang passenger motorbanca sa karagatang sakop ng Surigao del Norte.
Nangyari ang insidente bandang 10:45, Sabado ng umaga (December 19, 2020).
Batay sa imbestigasyon, napag-alamang nagmula ang bangka sa Barangay Magsaysay, Sta. Monica at patungong Barangay Pagsabayan, San Benito.
“While underway, the fuel container of the motorbanca accidentally dropped, causing its contents to flow towards the engine. Said incident resulted to fire onboard and prompted said motorbanca to submerge in the water,” ayon sa PCG.
Bandang 12:30 ng tanghali, ligtas na nai-turnover ang mga indibidwal sa Sta. Monica municipal medical officers.
Ibiniyahe ang mga nasagip na indibidwal sa Siargao District Hospital para sa karagdagang medical assistance.
