Ayon sa Phivolcs, namataan ang sentro ng pagyanig sa layong 11 kilometers Southwest ng Sarangani bandang 11:52 ng umaga.
Isang kilometro lang ang lalim ng pagyanig at tectonic ang origin.
Sinabi ng Phivolcs na ito ay aftershock ng tumamang magnitude 6.2 na lindol sa nasabing probinsya noong December 16.
Gayunman, walang napaulat na pinsala sa lugar.
