General Manager ng Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority sinuspinde ng Ombudsman
Pinatawan ng anim na buwang preventive suspension ng Office of the Ombudsman ang general manager ng Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority.
Kaugnay ito mga alegasyon laban kay Steve Dicidcan na pinayagan niyang mag-manage ng paliparan ang ilang dayuhan.
Batay sa reklamong inihain ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) sa Office of the Ombudsman noong December 14, si Dicdican ay inireklamo ng grave misconduct, gross neglect of duty, at conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service.
Sa desisyon, sinabi ni Ombudsman Samuel Martires na para maiwasan ang posibilidad na pag-tamper ng mga ebidensya, pangha-harass sa testigo, at paggamit ng impluwensya ay minabuting suspindhin muna si Dicdican habang siya ay isinasailalim sa imbestigasyon.
Dagdag ni Martires, base sa rekord ng reklamo, malakas ang ‘evidence of guilt’ laban sa opisyal.
