Sec. Duque nabigong maisumite ang mga dokumento na kailangan para sa Pfizer vaccine deal – Lacson

Si Health Secretary Francisco Duque III ang tinukoy na dahilan ni Senator Panfilo Lacson kaya nabigo ang Pilipinas na makuha ang Pfizer vaccine deal.

Bago pangalanan si Duque, sinabi ni Lacson na isang miyembro ng gabinete na tinukoy niyang “captain ball” ang patuloy na pumapalpak pero hindi ito inaalis sa “game” ng “coach”.

Sinabi ni Lacson na dapat sa Enero, maide-deliver na sa bansa ang 10 milyong doses ng Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines.

Pero nabigo aniya si Duque na isumite ang documentary requirements para dito.

Ayon kay Lacson, sina Foreign Affairs Sec. Teodoro Locsin Jr., at Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Romualdez ang gumawa ng paraan upang makakuha ang Pilipinas ng bakuna ng Pfizer.

“They could have secured the delivery of 10 million Pfizer vaccines as early as January next year, way ahead of Singapore but for the indifference of Sec. Duque who failed to work on the necessary documentary requirement namely, the Confidentiality Disclosure Agreement (CDA) as he should have done,” ayon sa pahayag ni Lacson.

Dagdag ni Lacson, nag-follow up pa ang country representative ng Pfizer sa mga kailangang dokumento pero hindi ito naiproduce ng DOH.

Dahil dito, mas nauna pa aniya ang Singapore na makakuha ng Pfizer vaccines kaysa sa Pilipinas.
