P9.3-M halaga ng misdeclared shipments, nakumpiska sa BOC

Nasabat ng Bureau of Customs – Port of Subic ang P9.3 milyong halaga ng misdeclared shipments.

Sa gitna ito ng pinaigting na hakbang ng ahensya para sa border protection at anti-smuggling initiatives sa bansa.

Dumating ang 17×20’ containers na idineklara bilang Frozen Jams sa Port of Subic noong November 22.

Naka-consign ang kargamento sa Zhenpin Consumer Goods Trading.

Sa isinagawang inspeksyon, nadiskubre na naglalaman pala ang kargamento ng carrots at broccoli na may estimated market value na P9.3 milyon.

Lumabag ito sa Section 1113 (f) na may kinalaman sa Section 1400 ng Republic Act No. 10863 o CMTA and Department of Agriculture Circular No. 04 series of 2006.

Sinabi ng BOC na magsasagawa ng hearing upang masusi lang mainbestigahan ang insidente.
