16 PCG personnel, sumailalim sa Small Boat Operations ng USCG

Nagsagawa ang U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) instructors ng Small Boat Operations course para sa 16 Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) participants sa Manila mula November 16 hanggang December 11, 2020.

Ayon sa U.S. Embassy sa Pilipinas, ito ay bilang suporta sa U.S.-Philippine cooperation upang mapaigting ang maritime law enforcement capability.

Sa second phase ng “train the trainers” course series, layon nitong mapabuti ang PCG instructors na tututok sa small boat operations training para sa ahensya.

Ito ang kauna-unahang training event na isinagawa ng USCG sa Pilipinas simula nang magkaroon ng COVID-19 pandemic.

Susundan pa ang naturang course ng advanced instruction para sa kaparehong instructor candidates upang makumpleto ang kanilang course series sa 2021.

Pinangunahan naman ni PCG Surface Support Force Commander Commodore Allan Victor Dela Vega ang course closing ceremony noong December 11.

Kasama ni Dela Vega sa seremonya sina U.S. Embassy Director for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Kelia Cummins, at PCG Special Operations Force Commander Commodore Edgardo Hernando.

Nagpasalamat naman si Dela Vega para sa naturang pagsasanay at para sa iba pang nakalatag na U.S. trainings para sa susunod na taon.
