Panukalang COVID-19 passport suportado ng BI

Bukas ang Bureau of Immigration (BI) sa mga panukalang paggamit ng COVID-19 passport para sa international travelers dahil maari itong makapagpabilis sa immigration processing sa mga paliparan at makatulong na buhayin ang tourism at travel industry sa bansa.

Sa pahayag, sinabi ni BI Commissioner Jaime Morente na suportado ng ahensya ang paglikha ng global COVID-19 passport.

Ayon kasi sa Department of Tourism (DOT), makatutulong ito para mahikayat ang mas maraming turista na bumisita sa bansa.

Ani Morente, sa kasalukuyang proseso kung saan required ang mga international travelers na magpa-swab test muna ay maaring magdulot ng problema sa BI habang unti-unting binubuksan ang border ng bansa sa mga dayuhan at turista.

“The anticipated influx of more international travelers could result in longer queues and overcrowding in our immigration counters as all of these passengers should be tested at the airport before they are allowed to enter the country,” ayon kay Morente.

Sinabi ni Morente na gamit ang COVID-19 passport maaring nakalagay na na ang biyahero ay nabakunahan na at virus free.
