Air assets ng civilian agencies at GOCCs, ipinagagamit sa pamamahagi ng bakuna

Inirekomenda ni Quezon City Rep. Alfred Vargas sa gobyerno na magsagawa ng agarang imbentaryo ng air assets na pagmamay-ari o inuupahan ng civilian government agencies, at government owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs) bilang paghahanda sa pagdating ng COVID-19 vaccine sa Pilipinas.

Paliwanag nito, mas madaling makararating sa malalayong lugar sa bansa ang supplies ng bakuna gamit ang eroplano at helicopters ng civilian government agencies at GOCCs.

Mas maliliit kasi anya ang mga ito kumpara sa C-130s na gamit ng militar kaya kayang bumaba sa maiikling runways.

Ayon kay Vargas, mangangailangan ang gobyerno ng mas maraming logistical support para mabilis na maipatupad ang COVID-19 immunization program.

Tinukoy ng kongresista na ilan sa GOCCs na merong helicopter ay ang Philippine National Oil Company, dahil ginagamit ito sa kanilang aerial surveys o paghahatid ng kanilang mga tauhan.

Para matiyak na episyenteng magagamit ang air assets ng GOCCs at civilian agencies, dapat anyang pansamantalang ipailalim ang mga ito sa flight operations o control ng militar para lang sa vaccine distribution.
