Pondo para sa anti-COVID 19 vaccines, tiniyak ni Sen. Angara

Bagamat itinuturing na “unprogrammed budget” ang P70 bilyong inalaan para ipambili ng COVID-19 vaccines, tiniyak ni Senator Sonny Angara na nakapaloob ito sa naipasang P4.5-trillion 2021 national budget.

Ginawa ni Angara ang pagtitiyak matapos magpahayag ng pangamba ang ilang mambabatas na tanging P2.5 bilyon lang ang nailaan na ipambibili ng mga bakuna sa pambansang pondo sa susunod na taon.

“The P70-billion is solid funding also, and just because it’s under the unprogrammed funds doesn’t mean it’s not solid funding,” paliwanag ng senador.

Dagdag pa nito, ang ipambibili ng mga bakuna ay hindi lang nakasalalay sa koleksyon ng buwis.

Binanggit din ng senador na una nang tiniyak ng economic managers ng administrasyon na may mapapagkuhanan ng P70 bilyon kung kakailanganin na.

Sinabi pa ni Angara na kung sakaling makakabili ng P600 halaga ng bakuna, aabot sa 100 Filipino ang mababakunahan base sa inilaan pondo na P72.5 bilyon.
