Truck ban, muling ipapatupad ng MMDA simula Disyembre 14

Pinagbigyan ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ang kahilingan ng Metro Manila mayors na muling ipatupad ang truck ban simula sa Lunes, Disyembre 14.

Sinabi ni MMDA Gen. Manager Jojo Garcia na kailangang ipatupad ang truck ban para maibsan ang lagay ng trapiko dahil sa tuwing sasapit ang Kapaskuhan ay mabigat ang sitwasyon ng mga kalsada sa Kalakhang Maynila.

“Vehicles travelling on the streets of Metro Manila increase as Christmas approaches so we will return the implementation of the truck ban beginning Monday to help ease traffic,” sabi ng opisyal.

Paliwanag nito, ang mga dambuhalang truck ay ipagbabawal sa mga pangunahing lansangan na nasa ilalim ng pangangasiwa ng MMDA, mula 6:00 hanggang 10:00 ng gabi at 5:00 ng hapon hanggang 10:00 ng gabi.

Hindi naman ipapatupad ang truck ban tuwing araw ng Linggo at holidays.

Binawi ang truck ban noong Marso para hindi maapektuhan ang biyahe ng mga pangunahing pangangailangan kasabay ng pandemya.
