Konstruksyon ng pasilidad para sa COVID-19 moderate to severe cases sa Quezon Institute, matatapos bago mag-Pasko
Patuloy ang pagbibigay ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ng infrastructure support sa gitna ng laban kontra sa COVID-19.
Itinatayo na ng DPWH Task Force to Facilitate Augmentation of Local and National Healthcare Facilities ang isang pop-up hospital na magagamit upang makatulong sa COVID-19 isolation facilities sa Quezon Institute sa bahagu ng E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue sa Quezon City.
“As we gradually defeat the pandemic, we will not be complacent but instead continue in backing our healthcare system by putting up more health facilities nationwide,” pahayag ni Secretary Mark Villar.
Sa ulat kay Villar kasunod ng occular inspection, sinabi ni Undersecretary and Task Force Head Emil Sadain na ang dalawang units ng modular off-site hospital ay inaasahang matatapos bago sumapit ang Pasko.
Mayroong 44 bed capacity ang naturang pasilidad.
Nagtatayo ang kagawaran sa Quezon Institute compound ng limang modular hospitals na may total bed capacity na 110 para sa moderate hanggang severe at critical patients.
Oras na makumpleto, pangungunahan ng Department of Health (DOH) ang pag-manage sa naturang pasilidad kasama ang Jose Reyes Memorial Hospital.
Sa modular hospital, mayroong kwarto para sa paglalagay ng personal protective equipment (PPE) ng mga healthcare professional upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng virus.
Magkakaroon din ito ng copper tube para sa oxygen at tangke, hiwalay na nursing station, equipment laboratory, pantry, storage, CCTV lines, at monitoring board.
Maliban sa modular hospital facilities, iniulat din ni Sadain na natapos na ang dalawang dormitories sa Quezon Institute compound.
Magsisilbi ang offsite dormitories bilang temporary shelter ng 64 health workers na matatalaga sa hospital operations ng Quezon Institute.
Sa ngayon, sinabi ni Sadain na nasa 462 healthcare facilities na ang nakumpleto ng DPWH sa buong bansa kung saan may 17,935 beds capacity.
