Tourism establishments binalaan sa pagpapabaya sa health and safety protocols

Pinaalahanan ng Department of Tourism (DOT) ang lahat ng tourism establishment sa bansa na mahigpit na ipatupad ang safety and health protocols.

Kaugnay ito sa isang social gathering na nangyari sa Blue Coral Beach Resort sa Barangay Laiya sa San Juan, Batangas kung saan nag-party ang maraming tao na walang suot na mask, face shield at hindi sumunod sa social distancing.

Kumalat sa social media ang video ng pagtitipon at napatunayan na nalabag ang guidelines na itinakda sa mga lugar na nasa ilalim pa rin ng general community quarantine GCQ, kung saan ipinagbabawal ang pagdaraos ng party.

Kasabay nito, pinuri naman ni Tourism Sec. Berna Romulo – Puyat ang pamahalaang-lokal ng San Juan sa agad na pagbawi ng business permit at paghahain ng kaso laban sa naturang establisyimento.

Nabatid na sinuspindi ng kalahating buwan ang operasyon ng Blue Coral Resort noong nakaraang Setyembre dahil na rin sa paglabag sa health protocols.

Babala din ni Romulo – Puyat sa mga nagbukas ng accommodation and tourism establishments sa bansa na mahigpit na sundin ang health and safety protocols dahil maari silang makasuhan at parusahan ng kanyang tanggapan kung sila ay lalabag.
