Work stoppage order sa Skyway extension project, binawi na ng DOLE

Muli nang matutuloy ang paggawa sa Skyway extension project matapos ang aksidente noong nakaraang buwan sa Muntinlupa City, na ikinasawi ng isang motorcycle rider at ikinasugat ng ilan pang motorista.

Kasunod ito nang pagbawi ng DOLE sa inilabas na work stoppage order (WSO) sa proyekto.

Ayon kay Labor Sec. Silvestre Bello III, naipakita na ng contractor at subcontractors na nakakasunod sila sa occupational and health standards, bukod sa nakapagbayad na ng mga multa.

Magugunita na umaga ng nakaraang Nobyembre 21, bumagsak ang isang nakalatag na steel girder sa East Service Road sa Barangay Cupang matapos tumagilid ang isang crane.

Noong nakaraang linggo, pinagbayad na ng DOLE ang EEI Corp., ang contractor at at sub-contractors, Mayon Machinery Rentrade Inc., at Bauer Foundations Phils. Inc., kalahating milyon pisong multa dahil sa mga paglabag.
