Sen. Hontiveros sa ‘one day deadline sa hazard pay requirement: Parang nananadya na!
Pinuna ni Senator Risa Hontiveros ang napa-ulat na pagtatakda ng ‘one day deadline’ para sa pagsusumite ng requirements para matanggap nila ang kanilang hazard pay.
Ayon kay Hontiveros labis-labis na ang ginagawang pagsasakripisyo ng mga health workers at hindi makatarungan kung hindi pa nila matatanggap ang kakarampot nilang benepisyo na pinaghirapan na nila.
Paalala ng senadora naghain na siya ng resolusyon para maimbestigahan sa Senado ang pagkakaantala ng pagpapalabas ng special risk allowances ng health workers at nakadagdag pa sa sama ng loob ang ‘one day deadline.’
“We join the calls of our private health workers for a one week extension, which is just and reasonable especially that it is mandated under the Bayanihan to Recover Act (BARO) that they receive compensation for services rendered until December 19. Huwag nating pahirapan ang ating mga health workers na makuha ang benepisyong dapat sa kanila,” sabi nito.
Diin niya ang paggaling ng 408,790 na Filipino sa COVID-19 ay dahil sa sakripisyo at pag-aalaga ng health workers.
