San Jose del Monte City sa Bulacan, iprinoklama na bilang isang highly-urbanized city
Iprinoklama na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte bilang isang highly-urbanized city ang Lungsod ng San Jose del Monte sa Bulacan.
Ayon kay San Jose del Monte City Lone District Rep. Florida Robes, kailangan na lamang na dumaan sa ratification ng kanyang mga kababayan ang proklamasyon ng pangulo sa pamamagitan ng isang plebesito.
“I am very honored to announce that President Rodrigo Duterte has declared our beloved city a highly-urbanized city. We have long waited for this and we will work more to make us truly deserving of this proclamation for the people of San Jose Del Monte,” pahayag ni Robes.
Sa ilalim ng Proclamation No. 1057 ng pangulo, nakasaad na base sa Section 453 ng Republic Act No. 7160 o ang Local Government Code of 1991, maaari nang iproklama ng pangulo na highly-urbanized city ang isang lungsod sa loob ng 30-araw matapos nitong makamit ang minimum population na 200,000 na sertipikado ng Philippine Statistics Authority at income na P50 milypng pinatotohanan naman ng City Treasurer.
Ginawa ni Robes ang pahayag sa inagurasyon ng bagong gawang San Jose del Monte Covention Center.
Sabi ng kongresista, makahihikayat ito ng mga negosyo mula sa micro, small and medium enterprises sa lungsod at iba pang mga investor upang magnegosyo doon at makalikha ng mga bagong trabaho.
Si Robes kasama ang kanyang asawa na si San Jose del Monte Mayor Arthur Robes ay nanguna sa inauguration ng Convention Center na kauna-unahan sa lungsod at bahagi ng Build, Build, Build program ng pangulo.
Kasabay nito, nagbigay din ng kanyang State of the District Address (SODA) ang mambabatas at ipinabatid sa kanyang mga kababayan ang mga programa at plano para makaagapay kasabay ng COVID-19 pandemic at iba pang development projects sa lungsod.
