NUSP, nanawagan sa PNP na palayain na si Amanda Echanis
Nanawagan ang National Union of Students of the Philippines (NUSP) sa Philippine National Police na palayain na ang aktibistang si Amanda Echanis.
Si Echanis na anak ng napaslang na Anakpawis chair Randy Echanis ay inaresto sa Cagayan dahil sa kasong illegal firearms.
Ayon sa grupo, mali ang akusasyon kay Echanis.
“This just months after her father’s death is telling of Duterte’s witch hunt on human rights defenders and his staunch critics. This aggression toward activists and progressive groups is his admission of his failure as a President–why would someone secure of how they lead be afraid of criticism?” pahayag ng grupo.
Kasamang inaresto ni Echanis ang isang buwang sanggol na anak.
