Higit 300 dayuhan na walang visa naaresto ng BI, NBI

Naaresto ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) at National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ang nasa 332 dayuhan na nagtatrabaho sa bansa nang walang visa, araw ng Miyerkules.

Ayon kay BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, nakatanggap sila ng impormasyon mula sa NBI-International Operations Division ukol sa isang worksite sa bahagi ng Pag-asa Street, Barangay Dela Cruz sa Bamban, Tarlac na may higit 200 undocumented aliens.

“Upon investigation and verification with our agents, we immediately issued a mission order to effect their arrest,” pahayag ni Morente.

Nahuli sa operasyon ang 323 Chinese nationals, walong Malaysian nationals, at isang Indonesian.

Naaktuhan ang mga dayuhan na gumagamit ng mga computers, cellular phones, at iba pang electronic devices nang walang kinakailangang working visas.

Sinabi ni Morente na napaulat na sangkot ang mga dayuhan sa online gambling, internet fraud, at cybercrime operations.

“They were conducting clandestine operations. Their worksite was in a compound that was under construction, and they didn’t leave the premises as they already have their barracks there,” dagdag pa nito.

Ipapa-deport ang mga dayuhan dahil sa paglabag sa Philippine Immigration Act of 1940.

Sa ngayon, ang 332 dayuhan ay nasa kustodiya ng NBI habang ipinoproseso ang ihahaing immigration charges at deportation.
