River control project sa Rizal, Palawan nakumpleto na ng DPWH

Natapos na ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang River Control Project nito sa bayan ng Rizal sa Palawan.

Ang 1-kilometer revetment structure ay layong maiwasan ang pag-apaw ng tubig sa Iraan River.

“This river structure will block the overflow of Iraan River during rainy and typhoon season, protecting residential and agricultural land in the area,” ayon kay DPWH Secretary Mark Villar.

Sinabi ni Villar na ang proyekto ay kabilang sa major flood-control projects ng DPWH Palawan 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO).

Aabot sa P552.37 Million ang halaga ng proyekto na pakikinabangan ng mga residente sa Barangay Iraan.

“Aside from the completed in Barangay Iraan, we are building more of these concrete structures along identified flood-prone riversides of southern Palawan,” dagdag ni Villar.
