Mahigit 119,000 na PUV operators tumanggap na ng tulong sa ilalim ng Direct Cash Subsidy Program ng LTFRB

Mahigit na 119,000 na PUV operators na ang nakatanggap na ng ayuda sa ilalim ng Direct Cash Subsidy Program ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) at Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

Ayon sa LTFRB, ito ay 88% na ng kabuuang bilang ng beneficiaries ng programa.

Bawat operator ay nakatanggap ng P6,500 na subsidiya kaya sa kabuuan ay P774 milyon na ang naipamahaging pondo simula nang simulan ang pamimigay nito noong Nov. 16.

Ang Direct Cash Subsidy ay isang programa sa ilalim ng Bayanihan To Recover As One Act o Bayanihan II na layong matulungan ang mga operator na nahihirapan makabawi ng kanilang kita dahil sa safety protocols na pinaiiral sa mga pampublikong transportasyon.
