FDA, binigyan na ng awtorisasyon na gamitin ang EUA para sa COVID-19 vaccines sa Pilipinas

Binigyan na ng awtorisasyon ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang Food and Drug Administration (FDA) na gamitin ang emergency use authorization (EUA) para sa COVID-19 vaccines na darating na sa Pilipinas.

Base sa Executive Order No. 121 na nilagdaan ng Pangulo, binibigyan ng kapangyarihan ni Pangulong Duterte ang FDA director-general na mag-isyu ng EUA para sa COVID-19 vaccines.

Dahil binigyan na ng awtorisasyon, mapapaiksi na ang proseso sa pag-apruba sa bakuna mula sa anim na buwan ay magiging 21 araw na lamang.

“The President also authorized the FDA director-general to “accept the regulatory decision of the [World Health Organization], [US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention], or other internationally recognized regulatory authorities,” saad ng EO.

Nakalagay sa EO na mahalagang masunod ang mga kondisyon gaya ng totality of evidence available, kasama na ang trials at effectivity nito.
