Balik-Gabinete si dating Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco Jr.
Ito ay matapos italaga ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si Evasco bilang Presidential Adviser on Streamlining of Government Processes.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, nilagdaan ng Pangulo ang appointment paper ni Evasco noong November 24, 2020.
“The Palace confirms that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has signed the appointment of Mr. Leoncio Badilla Evasco Jr. as Presidential Adviser on Streamlining of Government Processes, with the rank of Secretary, on November 24, 2020,” pahayag ni Roque.
Sinabi pa ni Roque na hindi na bago si Evasco sa administrasyon ni Pangulong Duterte.
Tiyak aniyang pamilyar na si Evasco sa pasikot-sikot na trabaho sa sangay ng ehekutibo.
“Presidential Adviser Evasco is not new in the Duterte administration having served as Cabinet Secretary in the early years of the current administration. His familiarity with the present bureaucracy would contribute greatly in his new task of streamlining government processes in the executive,” pahayag ni Roque.
Matatandaang nagsilbing cabinet secretary si Evasco noong 2016 hanggang 2018 subalit nagbitiw sa puwesto matapos tumakbong governor noong 2019 elections.
Gayunman, natalo si Evasco ni Governor Arthur Yap.
