Finance Sec. Carlos Dominquez sinabing may tatlong paghuhugutan ng COVID-19 vaccine fund

Iniulat kay Pangulong Duterte ni Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III na may tatlong maaring mapaghugutan para sa ilalaan na P73.2 bilyon na ipambibili ng anti COVID-19 vaccines paras a 60 milyon Filipino.

Aniya ang halaga ay base sa average cost ng bakuna na P1,200 kada tao.

Nabanggit ni Dominguez kay Pangulong Duterte ang sinabi ni Health Sec. Francisco Duque III na sa pagbabakuna ng 60 milyon Filipino masusunod ang sinabi ng ng World Health Organization na ‘herd immunity.’

Nangangahulugan na magkakaroon na ng sapat na proteksyon ang populasyon ng bansa dahil nasunod ang itinakdang bilang na dapat mabakunahan.

Ayon kay Dominguez, P40 bilyon ay uutangin sa Asian Development Bank at World Bank; P20 bilyon naman mula sa Landbank, Development Bank of the Phils., at iba pang government owned and controlled corporations.

Aang natitira naman na P13.2 bilyon ay huhugutin sa pakikipag-usap sa mga bansa kung saan bibilhin ang bakuna, tulad ng US at United Kingdom.
