Miyembro ng People’s Army, patay sa engkwentro sa Sorsogon
Patay ang isang miyembro ng People’s Army matapos makasagupa ang tropa ng militar sa Barangay Gulang-gulang sa Irosin, Sorsogon.
Ayon kay Lt. Col. Nelson Mico ng 22nd Infantry Battalion, nagsagawa ng security operation ang mga sundalo matapos magsumbong ang mga residente na may presensya ng mga rebelde.
Agad na nagkapalitan ng putok ang dalawang grupo dahilan para malagasan ang mga rebelde.
Nakuha sa lugar ang isang M16 rifle, anim na anti-personnel mines, commercial radios, 50-meter electrical wire at backpack.
Wala namang naiulat na nasugatan sa hanay ng militar.
“We thank the residents of Irosin for their cooperation manifested through their refusal to condone the atrocities of this terrorist group particularly their urge to deceive the youth sector,” pahayag ni Mico.
