Fundraising para madagdagan ang pondong pambili ng bakuna sa COVID-19 ipinanawagan

Hindi sapat ang pondo ng gobyerno para ipambili ng bakuna laban sa COVID-19 sa ilalim ng 2021 General Appropriations Bill.

Ayon Barangay Health Workers partylist Rep. Natasha Co, Mahalaga ang availability ng pondo para makabili ang bansa ng kinakailangang bakuna sa COVID-19.

Kaya naman mungkahi ng kongresista, magkaroon ng fundrasing kung saan kukuha ng dagdag na pondo mula sa Internal Revenue Allotment o IRA; Private Business Sector Counterpart Fund sa pangunguna ng mga business tycoon at top corporations sa bansa; Foreign Grants at Concessional Loans para COVID-19; at kontribusyon mula sa iba’t ibang simbahan at religious groups.

Sabi ni Co, ito lamang ang paraan para mabakunahan nang libre ang bawat Pilipino.

Maaari anyang maglatag ng mga detalye ang Department of Finance at ang Department of Budget and Management para sa parte ng tycoons gayundin sa paglapit sa World Bank, ADB, at pinakamayayamang bansa.

Ipinaliwanag nito na kailangang mabakunahan ang nasa 50 hanggang 60 percent ng 109 na milyong Pilipino para mabigyan talaga ng proteksyon ang populasyon mula sa virus.
