BMI monitoring sa mga pulis, ibabalik – PNP Chief Sinas

Inihayag ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na ibabalik ang istriktong pagpapatupad ng Body Mass Index (BMI) monitoring sa mga pulis.

Sa press briefing, sinabi ni PNP Chief General Debold Sinas na sinuspinde ang BMI monitoring bago siya maging hepe ng pambansang pulisya dahil sa banta ng COVID-19.

Kinausap na aniya niya ang PNP Directorate for Human Resource and Doctrine Development (DHRDD) para matulungan ang mga obese na pulis.

“Kinausap ko ‘yung bagong DHRDD na ibalik kasi obesity causes diabetes, causes heart disease, which are comorbid diseases for COVID-19,” pahayag ni Sinas.

Sinabi pa ng PNP Chief na kaya sila nag-develop ng 4-minute exercise ay upang maiwasang maging obese ang mga pulis.

“Alam niyo, for the last 9 months, dahil sa pandemic, parang konti na lang ‘yung nag-e-exercise at gumagalaw-galaw. Naging stagnant tayo. So ibabalik namin ‘yun para malaman din ng mga pulis na walang dahilan,” dagdag pa nito.

Ibinahagi rin ni Sinas na sa nakalipas na tatlong buwan, istrikto niyang sinusunod ang kaniyang diet at ehersisyo.

“Kung kinaya ko at the age of 55, I don’t think ‘yung mga younger sa akin, hindi nila kakayanin,” aniya pa.
