Bagong Building Code na magpapatibay sa disensyo ng mga paaralan ipinanukala ni Sen. Gordon

Ipinanukala ni Senator Richard Gordon ang paglikha ng bagong building code para mapagtibay ang pundasyon ng mga paaralan at iba pang gusali.

Maliban sa mas matibay na pundasyon, sinabi ni Gordon na dapat ding ang mga itatayong paaralan at gusali ay laging mayroong showers at toilets.

Kung hindi aniya babaguhin ang disenyo ng mga pasilidad paulit-ulit na lang na aayusin ang mga eskwelahang masasalanta tuwing may bagyo.

“Dapat ang design ng ating mga eskwela ay mas matibay na dahil kung hindi ay paulit-ulit lang tayo na magpapaayos nito tuwing tatamaan ito ng kalamidad,” ayon kay Gordon.

Sa paglikha ng bagong building code, sinabi ni Gordon na dapat mayroong plano sa sandaling may tumamang kalamidad.

Kasama dapat sa plano kung saan pupunta ang mga ililikas, ilan ang kapasidad bawat gusali, at pagtitiyak na nakahiwalay ang may sakit o immunocompromised.

Dapat din ayon kay Gordon, mayroong safe place para sa lactating mothers at kanilang sanggol.

“If all these are implemented, we won’t need to build every time there is a typhoon. What we will build must all be built to last. I thank my colleagues, Majority Floor Leader Sen. Zubiri, Sen. Angara, Sen. Cayetano, for supporting our suggestions and manifestation,” dagdag ni Gordon.
