Bilang ng OFWs na nakauwi na sa probinsya, halos 320,000 na

Umabot na sa halos 320,000 ang bilang ng overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) na naihatid ng gobyerno sa kani-kanilang probinsya, ayon sa Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

Batay sa ulat kay Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III, sinabi ng Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) na nasa kabuuang 319,333 OFWs ang ligtas na naihatid sa probinsya hanggang November 21.

Negatibo ang nasabing bilang ng OFWs sa COVID-19.

Sa buwan pa lamang ng Nobyembre, 38,516 OFWs na ang naihatid sa kani-kanilang destinasyon.

Sagot ng OWWA ang hotel accommodation at pagkain ng mga OFW habang hinihintay ang resulta ng kanilang COVID-19 test pagkadating ng Maynila.

“There is no stopping the government from extending the assistance to our dear OFWs. We have also enhanced our livelihood programs for the reintegration of our returning heroes,” pahayag ni Bello.

Tiniyak din ng kalihim na patuloy na babantayan ng foreign posts ng kagawaran ang kondisyon ng OFWs at bibigyan ng mga kinakailangang tulong.
