Paggamit ng anti-viral drug na remdesivir laban sa COVID-19 hindi aprubado ng WHO

Hindi dapat ginagamit na panggamot sa mga pasyente ng COVID-19 ang anti-viral drug na remdesivir.

Ayon ito sa pahayag ng World Health Organization (WHO).

Ayon sa WHO Guideline Development Group (GDG), walang sapat na ebidensyang magpapatunay na ang naturang gamot ay nakapagpapabuti sa kondisyon ng pasyente.

Una nang inaprubahan sa Estados Unidos, European Union at iba pang mga bansa ang pansamantalang paggamit ng gamot matapos lumitaw sa pag-aaral na pinabibilis nito ang recovery time ng COVID-19 patients.

Mismong si US President Donald Trump ay ginamitan ng remdesivir nang sya ay magpositibo sa sakit.
